Cookie Policy
Last updated: 6 November 2026
In short: PykTools uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to remember your theme and language. No advertising cookies, no tracking across websites, so there is nothing to opt in to.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. “Local storage” is a similar browser feature that keeps settings on your device. This page lists every one PykTools uses.
2. Cookies we use
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you signed in (set only after you sign in). Strictly necessary. | Until you sign out or the session ends |
bt_last_seen | Records when you were last active, so we can sign you out automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity. Strictly necessary for security. | 30 minutes, renewed while you are active |
3. Settings stored on your device
| Name | Purpose |
|---|---|
pyktools-theme | Light or dark theme |
pyktools-show-thinking | Whether AI PDF shows the model's reasoning steps |
These never leave your browser and are not used to identify you.
4. Third-party cookies
When you choose Continue with Google or Continue with Facebook, you are sent to that provider's own sign-in page, which uses its own cookies under its own policy. When you buy credits, the checkout page is run by Creem, which may use cookies needed for the payment. PykTools itself places no advertising, analytics or social-media tracking cookies.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the sign-in cookie, you won't be able to sign in, but the free PDF tools still work. Clearing site data resets your theme and language.
